There’s something about fall, isn’t there? The way the air changes, crisp and sharp, like it’s been waiting all summer to remind you that things are about to get darker. And that’s when it creeps in. Blue Samhain. It’s back, folks, and this time, it’s better than ever. A scent that doesn’t just feel like fall--it is fall, bottled up and waiting to crack open that door between the world of the living and the world of...well, whatever's out there.

You know the smell of sandalwood, don’t you? Smooth, earthy, like the wood of an old cabin where the walls creak at night. Add to that burnt sugar--sweet but with a bitter edge, like caramel left just a little too long on the fire. Now throw in bourbon, rich and boozy, warming your bones from the inside out. And yeah, a hint of pumpkin. But let’s get this straight: this isn’t your grandma’s pumpkin pie. No cinnamon spice nonsense. This is pure October, freshly carved jack-o'-lanterns with their insides scraped out and left to grin in the dark.

Now, last year--well, you know how these things go--I had this bright idea. Barrel-aging. The scent wasn’t just mixed and bottled. No, I wanted more. I wanted those ghost notes you only get from letting it sit in oak, letting the wood whisper its secrets into the blend. So, past me set this plan in motion, and present me? Well, present me is pretty damned pleased with how it turned out. Blue Samhain is richer, deeper, with that cask-aged magic you can’t fake. And “ghost notes”? Yeah, that’s what this scent needed all along. What’s more fitting for Samhain than the faint echoes of something…else?

Now, for you history buffs, the name Samhain--it’s an old one. Real old. Back when the Irish split the year in half: summer on one side, winter on the other. Samhain? It’s where they met. The doorway into winter, and the night before--October 31st--is when things got really interesting. The Celts believed that on Samhain Eve, the veil between our world and the Otherworld got thin. Real thin. Thin enough for things to come through--fairies, spirits, the dead. Not everyone was brave enough to step outside on a night like that. You never knew who--or what--you might meet out there.

And that label? Well, it’s got a story of its own. A couple glasses of Doc Herson’s Green Absinthe and suddenly you’ve got something a little...strange. Easter eggs, hidden symbols, little details that tell a tale. If you dig deep enough, you might just figure it out. But hey, it’s Samhain--some stories are better left unfinished, right?
