Al Fin is not only the name of this Phoenix Shaving Classic, but also the exact words I shouted out after months of dedicated trial and error upon fruition. For those not familiar with the Spanish language, Al Fin translates in English to something like "At Last".
I had been working at this scent sometime and had really begun exploring the world of perfuming only a few months before, but with a hunger. I bought every book I could find on the subject and devoured it. At the same time, everyday I was scent blending these strange and exotic scents, getting closer to...something. In all honesty, I really didn't create Al Fin, Al Fin created Al Fin, if that makes sense.
Like the muse patiently waiting for her curtain call at the end of a pen, Al Fin was near, but always out of grasp. This was more due to my inexperience than her willingness to reveal herself as she would eventually. Al Fin is the product of pure passion and a desire to create, I hope she serves you in a similar fashion.
Though perfect anytime of year, Al Fin holds a special place in my heart when it comes to sensual Summer Scents.

Why is Preshave Soap BETTER Than Preshave Oil?
Well first off, as with anything in life, it all comes down to personal preference. I can tell you why I think it's better, but in the end, do what works for you! First off, unlike using oil, a Preshave Soap will not gunk up your gear and rinses away easy.
I was seriously turned off by all the clean up involved when using oils. Plus I was always concerned about it getting into my favorite brushes undetected and going rancid. Also, applying oil with your hands then holding onto a blade is not the safest move in my book. [That said, if you currently use an oil, apply it with your non-shaver hand!] In short, Preshave Oils inspired me to find a better way!
